When people find out that I tandem breastfed my twins, they're generally really impressed that I was able to do it. And I usually tell them that I was really lucky that my milk came in, my babies latched easily, and it was more about the logistics of breastfeeding. I recommend getting a twin nursing pillow, which is just a really large u-shaped pillow you place around you, you place the babies on it, it makes breastfeeding much more comfortable and much easier. I recommend going to kellymom.com. It's a terrific resource for any breastfeeding questions you might have. They have a great resource just for breastfeeding multiples. And if you can, hire a lactation consultant or a doula if you have any troubles with breastfeeding. And when you're in the hospital, the lactation consultants are free, so definitely take advantage of using them.
