There are many challenges to exclusively pumping because most people choose to bottle feed or breastfeed. Not many choose to exclusively pump, because it is so difficult. It is just a machine, and it's very hard to keep going. I did find a support group online for people who were exclusively pumping. That helped me out. Meanwhile, going to the breastfeeding support group was intimidating because it's hard to bring a bottle there because everybody is breastfeeding successfully. Sometimes, I would even find myself pretending to breastfeed when I wasn't. It is very difficult, but if you keep going and you find a support group and you feel like it's important for your baby. Remember all those things about why breast milk is important, it will help you keep going.
