My husband was able to help out in breastfeeding and formula feeding both. With breastfeeding, we took a class before our first child was born, a class that was meant for a family members of expectant parents. He learned about all of the pros and cons… all the pros of breastfeeding and was able to help me in that to make my experience as easy as possible. With our fourth child who was adopted, he was able to share entirely the responsibility, so he ended up doing probably 60% of the feedings, which is a huge support to be able to sleep in or rest a little bit more when you have the bulk job of caring for a newborn.
