Working parents can certainly bond with their babies because as we do things for our children, we bond. We love them and we create a bonding relationship with them. How do parents who are working create a secure attachment? That's a tougher question. Because that means that one of those parents needs to be the primary caretaker of that infant if there is going to be a secure attachment. If they're both working and they need to hire someone, then they had better make sure that the person they hire is capable of creating an emotional relationship with their infant and will do so. Because that is a unique relationship and it takes place with the person who spends the most time with the infant.
