Installing yourself vs. professional car seat installation
A lot of parents are wondering whether they need to have their car seat professionally installed, or whether they can do it on your own. Car seats are extremely complicated. Professional car seat installers like myself actually go through a 5 day training course to learn how to install baby car seats. They are that difficult to figure out. So if you are going to trying to do it at home make sure that you take the time to read the instruction manual both for your vehicle and your car seat. Try multiple positions until you find that your car seat is really secure and if you are still not sure absolutely I encourage you to find a certified safety technician for child passenger safety who can install that car seat for you at least check your work. You can visit www.SeatCheck.org to find people all over the country that can help you. 85 % of car seats are improperly installed and believ it or not the number 1 cause of death for children under the age of 12 is car accidents. So I highly reccomend that you find a professional to help you prperly install your car seat.
