My husband and I are raising our kids with Christian values. And for me, I have a strong feeling, a very strong conviction that doesn't mean religious anyway. For me, raising my kids Christian means that we are striving to understand the character of Christ himself and follow that and find out the things that made him tick. So we're always striving towards what he excelled at, which was a rock-solid faith that God exists, that he's in control, and that he's the perfect parent. Meaning that he loves us unconditionally, and he also hates the things we do that hurt us and hurt others. So I would say in my house there's a continual striving for the ultimate good and a big soft cushy pillow of love and grace to fall back on when you blow it, which is frequently, myself. I'm the worst offender.
