If you are living with your abuser, I think what everyone needs to know is, you need to have a plan if you do want to leave or if it ever gets so bad that you need to leave. That looks like keeping a small bag of clothes or essential things that are at a friends house. Maybe have a text code so that person knows you are about to leave the relationship. It's very difficult living with an abuser because you never know how it's going to be or how bad it can escalate. It's important to know that you may need an out. It's also important to know that if things are bad, make sure you don't do things to put yourself in a bad situation. Maybe if they are drinking, maybe you need to go out and do something with your friends. Remove yourself from the situation. Not everybody is ready to leave an abusive situation. You need to have a plan, that if that happens, where are you going to go?
