What about the person who is only, I put that in quotes, only cheating online, but never has physical sexual contact with the person on the other end? Typically, those relationships suffer in the same way or similar way their relationships in which there has been a physical sexual betrayal. First of all, there's been a violation of trust and often times a person is frankly fantasizing and masterbating while online of offline, so there is an erotic sexual relationship going on even though there's not physical contact. Some of the warning signs that your spouse is having an online affair is they're spending an excessive amount of time on the internet in other rooms they don't typically do. They're spending an excessive amount of time while you're sleeping and they're staying up all night. They're avoiding responsibilities. When you question them about what they're doing online, they get very defensive. They may close the screen down. Those are all signs that something probably is going on.
