The key to making time for each other after having a baby is to recognize how much is actually at stake for your baby's growth and development. The greatest gift that you can give your children is your healthy marriage, because you are they're first and most influential model of what love and relationship looks like, which will affect the kinds of relationships they are trying to in the future. Also, research shows that when couples fight, they're not able to attune to their children. And often times put their children in the middle of their conflicts, which negatively affects their children's development. So once you know this. it's easier to get motivated to make your relationship a priority. Set aside those 15 minutes everyday to make sure that you're talking and being curious about each others' experience. Make regular date nights. And keep cuddling and non-sexual touch happening, because research shows that will keep you connected with each other.
