It can be helpful to find resources for your child as they are grieving the loss of a loved one. Check your local listings on the internet to find your local grief center or a family therapy center that can help your child. Consult the internet to help you find books that may be helpful for your child to process the loss; whether through drawing or responding, and asking open-ended questions. This can be a beginning for you to have conversations that will provide further support to your children. See if there are support groups for your children who are coming to terms with the loss of a loved one. Finally, check the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist, to see if there is a grief counselor in your area who specialize in working with children who have lost a loved one.
