A parent who is grieving might expect, during this time, to have waves of different emotions. All kinds of emotions; anger, fear, resentment, confusion are all normal. Know that these feelings might be triggered when you least expect it.
Know that there is no time table or right way to grieve, there's only what's right for you. Be aware of the tendency towards blame and guilt. These are just distractions for the incredible sense of helplessness during this time. This is normal. Give yourself time. Know that things will start to get easier.
