Telling your children that you have got cancer will be one of the hardest things that you will ever have to do, in fact maybe harder than hearing that in fact you do have cancer. I personally found a safe place for them. I think we went into their bedroom and lay down and just had a really open honest discussion that mommy was sick and that the doctor was going to give me some really strong medicine that was hopefully going to make me feel better. And that at the end of everything I was going to be better, a new improved mommy and that they had nothing to worry about, nothing to fear. And that me being sick had nothing to do with them and nor was cancer contagious. And I would tell them everything as we went along, what to expect. Then I asked them what questions that they has for me and answered them as honestly as I could.
