The items that I cannot find in bulk I actually end up often making. So, for example, cosmetics, such as bronzer – from cocoa powder, or eyeliner – from almonds. I’ve also made some household cleaner with just vinegar. I’ve actually eliminated all my household cleaners and now I just use vinegar and water and I saved a huge amount of money. I’m not crazy about making products that when I can I find in bulk, because then I’m wasting time doing something I can just buy already made and two, making something that’s going to require way too many ingredients, because then it’s going to defeat the purpose of living a zero waste lifestyle, it’s going to make it too complicated and not easy to stick to for the long term.
