As a parent, another area I like to really have a good impact on my children is the school lunches. The school lunches at many schools is not the kind of food I eat and is not the kind of food they eat, so I pack a good school lunch that has healthy, organic material, a lot have been grown in my garden and it's packaged in a way that it doesn't have any single use plastic. Reusable containers, all that stuff, all that waste that normally goes into the trashcan at the school is eliminated by using things repeatedly. Plastic or some other hard material container, utensils - I have these wonderful, wooden utensils that I pack in the kids' school lunch that are wonderful, and they eliminate the use of those throw away plastic forks and spoons and knives. So healthy food packed in reusable containers is something that's very good for kids, and you can have a great impact on the waste trim with it too.
