One of the most stressful things as a parent can be to keep track of all of the things that goes along with each activity. The soccer cleats, the ballet slippers, especially when you’re trying to get out of the house in the morning.
So I take a lot of ziplock bags and label them for each day. So for example, Thursday ballet, I have the hairnet, the leotard, the hairspray, all in one bag. If you don’t want to use plastic bags, you can use recyclable cloth bags. You can make these yourself, or you can buy them at http://BagAll.com.
And come Thursday morning when I am stressed out to get out of the house and making breakfast and lunches, I don’t have to worry about getting all the stuff for ballet ready. I just take the little bag, put it in the backpack, and I’m all set to go. And I’m a much better mother, I have a lot more patience because I’m not rushing around the house trying to find ballet slippers. And we get off to a better start and a calmer day.
