It’s really important to consider the diversity of your neighborhood and your children’s school when you have mixed kids. If you can’t live in a diverse neighborhood, or your school is not diverse, try to find other ways to expose your mixed race kids to people and other children who are like them whether it’s other friends outside of your community or it’s other family members, or it’s through travel or books, but really try to find a way to make sure that they’re exposed to other kids and adults who are like them.
