As a divorce attorney, it becomes a big issue of when they can start dating and when to introduce their children. Depending on the circumstances of the divorce, if there's been cheating in the other relationship and the children are upset; depending upon the ages, depending upon the conduct of the people involved. You are always safe waiting. You can never wait too long. The other thing you should ask yourself is: Are you doing this for your own convenience or because it is really time to bring the kids into it? When people are getting divorced, they are not thinking in their right mind. It's a form of grief. The things that I witness from my clients are, somewhat, irrational behavior, on occasion. Your judgement can be altered. Generally, I would suggest waiting as long as you can. If you have a question, have your child speak to a therapist.
