So how do you share custody as a working Dad? It's often a very difficult decision for a Dad when he gets on a custody battle of how do I ask for custody and say I want to parent my kid when I'm use to working fulltime. Many times as a Dad you really ask yourself the most important thing in the world and even though when you married it may have been career to support your family. Right now you might want to consider having career to take a back seat to the time you could spend with your child and at that additional time might have much more long term beneficial effects for your child and their relationship with you than what your career might do for them in terms of support and then it might be some very difficult decisions and very difficult sacrifices in the beginning but ultimately there's no value that you can put on that richness of the child being with you and the time you give to that and being able to be their parent. As a Dad you might also learn some incredible magic that comes along with playing the Mom role in the time you're with them. I personally went to Mommy and Me classes and became one of the moms at the school so to speak as a dad because I was with my child every other week and it was one of the greatest gift in my life and think the value of it was incredible. So you might want to figure out how you can work a bit of home or cut out a bit of your career life to spend more time with your child because ultimately have a greater value than anything else you could give them.
