In infant domestic adoptions, that is where adopting parents are wanting to adopt the newborn baby. The amount of time that it can take for the adopting parents to locate a baby to be adopted and a birth mom who chooses them varies. Sometimes, it happens that even without being actively looking to adopt, a family will hear about a baby that's looking for a home. But, then, there are times that the adopting parents who look for maybe 18 months or 2 years for a longer time and they haven't quite found the right situation. But, adopting parents should be reassured that they should keep on looking, that there are babies out there to be adopted and that their time will come when they'll be a family. In terms of what makes the family maybe more open to being picked by a birth mom, I would sat that the more open they are, the better, and that would be in terms of the contact that they're open to have with the birth mom after the birth as long as she's wanting to have that, the type of child that they're willing to adopt and wanting to adopt, and the more open they are generally, the more that they're likely to be presented to birth moms and that increases their chances of being selected.
