I don't think video games are bad; I think excessive video games can be really damaging. Of course, we've seen studies that shoe that video games can create some isolation. We've seen physical effects like carpel tunnel and other things in their bodies. And certainly we've seen kids play video games to the point of death. But what I think parents really need to pay attention to when kids are playing video games is that at some level, they're doing it. When they play that fire game and they're shooting everyone in the room, at some level that action is actually happening. When they're driving, and I've done this, played a video game and I'm driving and I bang into a car virtually and then I get onto the freeway, I sort of at some level want to bang. So I think it's important for parents to realize that at some level, they're doing that behavior. And check in and make sure that their kids understand, hey this is virtual and there's the real world here, and we don't want to take the behavior that we see in video games and bring it outside into the real world.

Jonathon Fishman is passionate about technology. Not for what it does, but for where it can lead you. The idea for his company, Ben’s Ranch, struck Jonathon when his stepmother asked his advice in buying a computer for her grandson. She didn't care about the brand or specs, she simply wanted to know how it would help her Grandson. Jonathon realized that technical support was centered around rescue, repair and complicated conversations. He believed that the conversation should start with how does technology empower the use. Ben's Ranch became the industry standard for personal and small business IT by shifting the conversation repair to usability. Jonathon is happily married and the father of a seven-year old and a nine-year old.
