To make a decision whether your teen is ready for R-rated movie or not. Take a look at your kid, how is he doing, does he seem to be conducting himself reasonably well, he's not crazy but risk taking, he's not overly influenced but things and his culture. You might say "Okay, maybe you are grown up enough for these but-". Little footnote here's the teaching moment, how about you watching the film with him. I mean maybe he goes off with his own but you sit down and do it again, engaged this stuff. It is best to do it at home with he control, stop with a certain scenes and pause question to your child. If some guy is slapping a woman around and that seems to be cool as in many of these videos, stop and say, "Son, do you think that woman like to getting slapped around". When he say "what a stupid question? Well, maybe not you guys are watching this and by the way do you know that since we've been romanticizing violence against women and then the music and then the videos and such, the rates of the sexual violence have exploded almost at a direct correlation, so what do you think son, this has something to do with it". So rather than say no, I am rather than just do what you want engaged with the thing and use it as as a teaching moment. Sometimes, tell your kid the price you pay to have this freedom is we are going to watch it together as well.
