I think that it’s really tough to be able to deal with all the outside influences that you don’t want your child to participate in. But I think again you have to give your child the capacity to develop their own moral compass and so again you’re having conversations with them about what’s important and what their choices are and you’re trying to give them the opportunity then to have a barometer to make those choices with. One of my sons was at a sleep over and the boys were playing a video game he wasn’t allowed to play, so he went in the other room and then came back and said, “Guys, I can’t do this video game. Would you mind putting on a different one?” And they were like, “Oh, okay, buddy. We’re glad to do that.” But he had to make the choice to do that, but he could do it because he developed his own moral compass.
