It's widely known in research that community is an important aspect in an adolescent's life, in order to protect them for the risk of suicide. The reason being that adolescents are most usually driven towards depressive thoughts when they feel separated or alone and isolated. Therefore, it is extremely important cultivate community, family hood and friendship that surround passions and interests naturally inherent to their children. If this means encouraging more after school sports or theater or family time at home. Any of those options will allow the child to feel a sense of brotherhood or sisterhood and that there is always someone to turn to and always someone to talk to in times of confusion.
