Most children have no idea to have relationships today. We see them on TV. We wonder how do you do that. They need their parents´guidance here. And you don´t have to be overly teaching them but a few hints can make a huge difference. For example, one of the big questions that comes up is: After a girl has spent time with a guy on a date or they have spent time together, she wants to talk to him. Should she call him? Should she not call him? Because after a date, he tends to go that was wonderful and his attention goes somewhere else, but it will come back to her. But what she will tend to do is call and ask questions like what´s the matter, don´t you feel something, don´t you care for me, didn´t you have a good time, and it is not the time to ask those questions. So can she call him back? Yes, but not right away and when she does call him back, if he doesn´t call her, just call to let him know, maybe ask him a question about something that he is good at or tell him about what´s going on in your life but don´t try to pursue what his feelings are. One of the big complaints for grown men as well as for teenagers is girls will tend to ask questions to get reassurance on where are we at in the relationship and the best thing is not to ask those questions but instead to create a sense of what a good time you had together, appreciate the time you had, maybe suggest we get together at a certain time, not too pushy but create an openness so you are giving him the message that you are still interested in him and you are certainly not mad at him for calling back.
