I think by the time your child is a teenager, hopefully, you've instilled a lot of responsibility in them. I think that starts from a very young age. Once you are a teenager, there are so many things. There is driving a car. There is a lot of school work. There are sports teams, where there team is probably relying on them to show up and work hard. I think you have to set limits. You have to have boundaries and a lot of conversation. I think they need to know what you expect out of them, what's required in them; to go out into the world and get along with people and follow rules. You just have to constantly talk to them. Every situation will be different. Every child will be different. How do they react to situations. By the time they are a teenager, they have one foot out of the door. You have to make sure you've put in the work, so they are ready for it.
