As tweens become teens, a lot of parents notice that they act differently at home then they do at school. This is totally normal. As teens begin to explore their identity, their likes and dislikes, they are going to act differently around their school friends, their sports friends, and at home. This is okay as long as they are being genuine. It's really important to talk to your kid about those different personalities and why they act differently. Sit down and ask them if they know what it means to be genuine. "Do you think that you are different at school or at home?" Often times just getting them to think about their actions and who they are it will help them to make sure that they are always being genuine, no matter who they are with.
