Without honesty, a teenager does not feel able to consult a parent during a time of confusion and doubt, which all adolescents face. Teenagers feel compelled to be honest when they genuinely feel that they are being listened to. This means being open with your child, hearing out their dilemma or confusion before you are imposing what you think may be the best solution. Honesty is essential in the household in order to navigate troublesome times when societal pressures may encroach on your child´s well-being.
