I chose a Waldorf education for my children because I am just in complete awe over the philosophy. It is just one of the most magical places I've ever had the opportunity to visit or be in. The children don't have any access to media, no computers, and no television. And that is actually a good thing.
Some people think, how are they going to get around in the world? but I promise you, they will know how to function in the world, because it's just something they're born with. But to be able to have their imagination blossom and be nurtured, that's a gift that you can really only give them once, and that's in their childhood.
There's actually been many studies done about how these children end up far surpassing other types of schooling because they're able to think outside of the box, and a lot of the jobs are going to be for people who can think that way. So I am really honored, and I feel very grateful that I can be at a Waldorf institution for my children.
