Getting your car seat checked to see if it's installed properly is the first thing that a parent needs to do. When you purchase a car seat, there's a paper on it that says: Go to seatcheck.org and find an inspection locator near you. Definitely, absolutely do that. 90% of all car seats are installed wrong and used incorrectly and seeing a professional, certified person will help you learn what you did wrong and create the proper use and installation for the baby. You're going to make adjustments as the baby gets bigger, too. You need to know how the system works. People should be looking for a car seat inspection station or a training session in their seventh month of pregnancy. They should not be waiting until that baby class just before they deliver to find out that they need to find and have their car seat checked because then you're not going to find any availability in the time frame that you have.
