If you are wait listed at your favorite Preschool, there are a couple of things you can do.
First of all, communicate to that school that you really want to be there. You can write letters, emails, or phone calls. Never feel like you are bothering the school or the admissions person. Because they only want people there that really want to be there, and if you communicate that, they will take that into account.
Another thing you can do is go on another tour. Go on as many tours as you want. If you show your face, again, you are communicating, "I really want to be here. This is the best place for my child." When you do communicate to the school, focus on your child and why it's good for your family. They want to know why this is a good place for your child.
The other thing you can do is tell them that you will go there, at that school, at any point. If they call you at the end of August or beginning September. If you put a deposit down somewhere else, you will forego that. You will still go there. You can communicate that in a letter and that goes a long way.
These are some of the things you can do if you are on a wait list.
