Twelve-year-old Kids In The House reporter, Blue Greene, hit the red carpet last week to ask celebrities their parenting advice at the Healthy Child Healthy World Mom on a Mission Gala. She received great advice from celebrities including Vince Vaughn, Olivia Newton-John, Ali Landry, Rob Estes, Rebecca Gayheart, Michael Weatherly, and Brooke Burke. The Mom on a Mission Gala celebrated inspiring moms dedicated to creating healthier environments for children. “This is all about protecting children from toxins in the environment,” explains Nancy Chuda, founder of Healthy Child Healthy World.

Dr. Shanna Swan was awarded the Mom on a Mission award for pioneering studies that drew scientific and public attention to ways that chemical exposure can affect reproductive health. Nina Montee Karp, founding board member of Healthy Child Healthy World and a board member of the Environmental Working Group, was named the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award.
