What is a good average amount of time to let your children play video games. I allow abouyt 6 hours per week.

Screentime is screentime. 30 minutes a day is a good rule for elementary school age kids, IMO. But if those are spent on video games, then they should not be watching TV. Or, if they have a favorite show they want to watch that day, then they should not be playing games on mom's phone or the family computer as well.
