It is imperative that you ask for help when you have twins because you are faced with overwhelming physical and emotional responsibilities. A great idea is to go to this website called, www.carecalendar.org. A group of your friends or family can organize doing specific tasks that will really help you during this time, such as, meal planning, laundry, cleaning, babysitting, and possibly caring for older siblings. It is also important to recognize that getting help is not a sign of weakness or a sign of inadequacy. You are actually doing your child a favor. By freeing yourself up from these other tasks, you are able to spend much more time with your babies. Also, it's very important that if you find out that your low moods and your sadness aren't dissipating after two or three months, it's is important to rule out postpartum depression.
