One way that you can tell if your baby is not latching on properly is that your baby probably won’t gain any weight. And what happened to me was that when my son Kaden was born, we kept trying to get him to latch on and lots of lactation consultants were coming in and trying to get him to latch on. And we thought he was doing it the right way, but no matter what, he still wasn’t gaining any weight. So that’s how we knew he wasn’t latching on properly.
