It is possible to get your child to nurse after exclusively pumping for two months. I did it with my son. The way that I did it was, we decided to rent a scale. Even though I was still giving him the bottle, I would occasionally put him on the breast and weigh him to see if he was gaining any weight. Eventually, after doing that several times without any success, we noticed that he was gaining a little bit. For a while, he was gaining 1.5 ounces and then he was gaining 3.5 to 4 ounces per feeding. That was great. After that, I realized we didn't need the scale anymore. I was just breastfeeding. It became a more positive experience.
