Top tips for creating a great nursery
I think before I have my first child, I thought if I had the most beautiful nursery with every perfectly in its place, my child would be perfect. Well, guess what, that’s not the case. No matter what you do, they will cry, they will throw up, they will get sick, and you will have sleepless nights in there. Instead of putting all of your effort into making it perfect, just make it a place that has the few elements that will make you feel most comfortable. I think a rocking chair or a chair that you can sit in with your child is almost as important as the crib or the changing table because you’re going to be spending a lot of time doing that. I'm a big fan of Blackout Curtains that cost a little bit more, but more and more research shown that it’s important for your children to really have a dark room. Even not to have a night light. Now, you want to be able to get your way in there and see your way, but the darker it can be, the better and the better your child is going to be able to sleep in other places. Sure, put something beautiful, make it cute, but don’t spend all your money creating a nursery that they are going to outgrow in two to three years. Wait until they have taste of their own.
