I remember hearing psychologist Pat Allen talk about how when a woman is at work you're in masculine mode, and it literally takes 30 minutes back into feminine. Sometimes when I've counseled couples, I've talked to the man. I've said, you know, if you would give your wife or your partner, whomever, she comes home from work, she's in all this crazy stress. You want her to come home, take care of the kids, get dinner ready, and all of this stuff. And later she's supposed to be this goddess in bed. You take the kids, I'll say. Just try this. Say to the kids. You know what mommy needs. Take the kids. We're going to go be outside. Hello! that's what people used to do before dinner. Like, outside, basketball hoops, take a walk. And we're going to let your mom have her goddess time. So that that woman can retrieve her true self.
