I think my best piece of advice is to set limits for your children. Kids love rules, they love structure – it makes them feel safe. Now, it’s their job to test those limits, so they’re going to push, they’re going to see if they can break your rules a little bit. And that’s okay. Hold strong. Your children love to have the structure in place. Even when you make a rule that doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense that you kind of regret just as you’re saying it – because all parents have had that experience – still, it’s the idea of keeping your kids a little bit contained – they love it, you’ll love it, they’ll respect you and it will keep them safe.
