What can a normal parent do to help protect children in this crusade around awareness around GMOs? There is so much that can be done. You can take baby steps. I think it's so important to not to make the "perfect" the "enemy of the good", to focus on progress instead and not perfection, and if you want to do something in your own home, maybe start with just eating a little bit less processed food. Try to eat less fake food, and more real food with real ingredients. If you want to take it a step further, there are so many organizations now that are part of this mission to help protect the health of the American children. You can go to Healthy Child's website. You can go to Just Label It's website. But I also think, to really remember that each one of us has this ability to communicate with others and to share this information with the people that you love, and treat it as a gift, this knowledge is a gift. And whether that's with a family member, with a child, with a parent. It also might mean reaching out to your store manager, and just making them aware of it too, and saying "Thank you for providing the products that don't contain these genetically-engineered ingredients."
