The best ways to avoid skin allergies is to avoid allowing the skin to come into contact with proteins. So in your skin care products, avoid ingredients that have protein base, like hydrolyzed quinoa protein, or pansy extract, because these introduce a protein to the skin and therefore it can have an allergic response. When a child is older, or for an adult, it's okay to use proteins. And they can have health benefits for the skin. But until we understand the allergenic profile of a baby, very important to avoid those things.
