When creating healthier indoor air quality for your home, one of the most important things is to remember that air circulation can play a big part. So remember to open your windows, use the vents and the fans in the kitchen or the bathroom to help clear the air. And also, indoor plants can also be a really big help to refresh and circulate the air because they are able to clean the air. And there's been a study by NASA that shows that even just a few indoor plants can really help to significantly improve the quality of the air in your home. Aside from just circulation, you also want to be careful and be mindful of the products that you are bringing into your home. So, for example, you know taking off your shoes at the door, because we often bring in chemicals and toxins through our shoes. Choose cleaning products that are natural and toxic free, so that you are not spraying those fumes. You know, you are trying to clean your house, but you are also then creating a more toxic air quality if you are not using natural and plant-based cleaners. Two last tips are also thinking about your furniture, so where possible choose natural materials. And try not to use synthetic or products that are treated with flame retardants. And finally, when you are choosing to vacuum, if possible use one that has a hyper-filter because that will also help to circulate and clean your air.
