So if you are not always able to buy organic, it's important try to choose and prioritize the products that are not sprayed as heavily as others. So, for example, you want to buy organic the fruit that has the thinner skin such as strawberries, and like the peaches and apricots, because they have thinner skins. So those tend to be more heavily sprayed. On the other side, if you choose, you know, the ones with thicker and harder skins such as bananas or pineapples, those are ok to buy non-organic. But one of the great things is that with the awareness of what you choose to buy and how to prioritize, practices are changing and so what was once a heavily sprayed product is becoming less sprayed, because simply consumers are not purchasing the heavily-sprayed products. So one way to check on what's current in terms of the best products to choose organic, if you can't always buy organic, is EWG.org have a list called 'The Dirty Dozen' and they also have a list called 'The Clean Fifteen'. So the Dirty Dozen are the 12 you want to avoid and try to buy organic, and the Clean Fifteen are the ones that are safer if you cannot buy organic, then it's ok to buy conventional. Additionally, many retailers often have more budget friendly products that are more accessible. So, for example, Target and Trader Joes, and even Walmart and CostCo, have quite a wide range of organic products available.
