Going back to work after having a baby is a very personal, as well as a financial decision. It's so worth it. Even if your financial gain is marginal at first, due to childcare costs, you have to see this as investment in your future career as well. Career isn't just about money, it's about mindset. In a large, working mothers survey, we found that career moms are usually happiest. Actually, career-minded moms who stay at home actually wish they were working. Stay-at-home moms want an on ramp at some point, but it's not always so easy. When you go back to work after having a baby to your existing job are on track for increased earnings and advancement. Most working women want a few things. They want the opportunity for advancement, they want to make more wages, and they want the opportunity to learn and grow. That's what you have to consider when you decide whether to go back to work after having a baby. You have to decide for yourself and for your family, then just go for it.
