Getting involved in a parent support group, as a parent of multiples, is paramount. It's is so, so important. You can find them on Facebook, there's Mothers of Supertwins, a national organization. There's Triplet Connection, another national organization; fantastic. We don't have a peer group of triplet parent above us because IVF started mid 60's. So we are our own leaders of this triplet phenomenon. And because of that we have to rely on each other. I'll never forget; we were running late for a plane and it was like 5 minutes, we were not going to make it. The stewardess jumped form behind the counter, grabbed my - We had 3 car seats, the babies in each one; and she grabbed one of the car seats, rolled me to the next gate and said, "Move aside, move aside" to the crowd, gave him our ticket and I said, "How can I ever thank you?" and she said, "Oh don't thank me. I had triplets once, I lost them at 3 months so I did this for them. Have a great day." There's a bond. When you've been in my shoes or the shoes of another parent of multiples. And it's a really strong connection, so don't be afraid to hook into it.

Julie Gillespie, DPT, a mother of multiples, physical therapist, teacher and writer, is a graduate of Mt. For women or men in rehabilitation and recovery from pelvic floor injuries or surgeries, Julie helps strengthen the inner core muscles that have been compromised. Julie also works with athletes, developing treatment plans to manage the impact of up-training, down-training, and injury. She has helped countless elite athletes and cyclists with pelvic floor therapy for injury and repetitive use.  Julie earned her Masters and Doctorate in Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, and her Physical Therapy degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College. Julie has owned and/or managed several ob/gyn, continence and women’s healthcare groups in California, including the Women’s Health Program at USC.   Julie has taught Women’s Health in the physical therapy programs at Mt. St. Mary’s College, Northridge and Loma Linda. In 2019, Julie was invited to Shenzhen, China to lecture on pelvic floor conditions and sexual dysfunctions. She has been recognized for her pelvic floor research with an award  from the American Physical Therapy Association. On a personal note, Julie is the mother of triplets and two singletons, and enjoys hiking, running, skiing and quilting. She is the author of Magical Multiple Moments.
