If you are mixed, you may, at some point, feel the pressure to pass as one race or the other. Ultimately, that is just another form of peer pressures. It's something, that if you have a strong sense of self, a strong sense of self-esteem, you will be able to understand any pressure to pass.

Christina Simon has a Bachelor of Political Science degree from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in urban planning from UCLA. Christina is a past winner of the prestigious California State Senate Fellowship. She is a former vice president at Fleishman-Hillard, a global public relations firm. She is the mother of a son and a daughter who attend elementary school at The Willows Community School in Culver City.
