My advice for two women raising two boys. When I was pregnant for the first time and I found out I was carrying a boy, this wave of panic came over me, because I thought I don't know anything about boys. I don't know what I'm going to do with a boy. And when the wave subsided, I thought, I don't really need to know about boys. I need to know about this kid that I'm going to have. And then we had another boy subsequently. And now we're these two moms raising two boys. And they're just kids. They have wildly different interests than each other and often wildly different interests than their moms, but we do make it work. I find that we do have to make more of an effort to do stuff like rough and tumble and wrestling play and getting down on the floor with them. And I think that's more of an effort for me, that kind of stuff. But I think the upside for me is we're raising boys who really do see that women drive cars and shovel the snow and are in charge of the household and figure things out .And we're raising them to hopefully help out in the house and know how to talk to women and understand that women are really powerful and really strong. I really feel like it's been and will be a really positive experience for them to have two moms. They have lots of great men in their lives. And yeah, I think it's been a bonus.
