There are so many fun, affordable things that you can do as a family. A couple of ideas that come to mind are looking through baby books and scrap books. That may sound so simple but any time my kids find their baby books, they just want to sit and read them and hear stories about when they were little. It's a great activity to do with little kids. Making a meal together is fun. Kids love to cook; everyone can have their own dish that they make. Make movies on the computer. My kids will spend hours making movies of themselves with their friends. Make a movie as a family. Get some silly hats or props and create a movie and send it to grandma. Skype is a wonderful thing to download and plan chats with family and friends that may be far away. Have that, maybe even every Sunday you have a little Skype chat with grandparents that are on the other side of the country.
