It's very important to be aware that child a may think you're abandoning them. Especially if you are the father and you are no longer sleeping in the house. It's critical for you to talk to a child about that and tell them that all of the circumstances changed; that you are not leaving them, that they're always special to you that you will always be in their life forever; to emphasize how much you love them, to be affectionate with them and to show them that the only reason you're no longer in the house has to do conflict between the parents and absolutely nothing to do with them. They should never have to feel abandonment and they should never feel blame. It's very critical. It's very critical in the divorce time to make them feel very, very special.
