Dating play day seem to be the new trend among single parents. I can understand. Single parents are strapped for time, strapped for money. They've got kids around them all the time. They're trying to build an adult relationship. Carve out a little adult time for themselves. So doesn't it make sense, you can all just go to the park together, you could do Disneyland together. He brings his kids, you bring yours and you can get your dating at the same time. Wrong! This is a bad idea and I will tell you why. First of all, kids know what's up. They know that you're dressed a little bit better for Disneyland than you normally would. They also see you talking to him and giving all the attention to him instead of them, which actually might make them act up more and make a big problem with the date anyway. So, I think it's important that your carve out the adult time separate from kid time. It's not fair to try to spread yourself too thin among everybody. You'll lose somebody, trust me.
