Reflective communication is so important to discipline. Reflective communication shows the parent as sort of a trusting partner with the child. It also demonstrates and displays what good communication looks like. Last, it really helps to make those rules and expectations very clear for our child. It's important to employ these and keep practicing them. It is not always natural to use reflective communication, but when you do, you will notice the great benefits of it.
